Cryptography for Rails Developers
Rails Israel 2014 Conference, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, 14:25
SSL keeps your data secure from people who might be snooping at your
traffic. When you log in to a site, you don't want anyone else to see
your password. It's the same with your app, you want your API keys to
be safe when making API calls.
In this talk aimed at Rails developers, you'll learn about public key
cryptography, how it's used in SSL certificates and SSH keys, and how
to use it on your Rails apps.
Christopher Rigor has degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. He is a web developer and system administrator and currently the Support team lead in Asia Pacific at Engine Yard.
